Kateri Moseley | Class of 2014
Kateri Moseley is currently a student in the Douglas Honors College at Central Washington University. During her freshman year she took a class entitled "Cancer Survivorship: An Exploration of Healing and Empowerment."
Upon completing the class, Kateri's professor extended an invitation to co-present with her at the American Educational Research Association conference!
This was due to her personal ties to cancer, participation and work in the class, and the willingness she displayed to want to go above and beyond. The conference takes place in Washington DC in April, and is the largest conference of educators internationally. The presentation is entitled “Critical Reflection and Inquiry in a Cancer Survivorship Course Offered through a University Honors College” and will largely feature the teaching components and curriculum advice, but will also have the component of a student's perspective and participation as well.
The AERA Conference will serve as a halfway point in Kateri's study abroad adventure at Massey University in Auckland, New Zealand.
Congratulations, Kateri! We are so proud of your accomplishments and this tremendous honor. #TogetherWeAreFIFE
