Fife School District Teacher of the Year!

Kirk is a master teacher, designer, and leader in our building.  His students love him.  Has the respect of both students and staff.  Takes on extra responsibilities of association leadership and Standard Bearer work and helps keep our staff balanced between staying focused and having fun. Great mentor, always striving to develop a better math program.  Cares about the students.  Co-workers respect him.  He has a great rapport with junior high students.  He is always willing to help a colleague with whatever they wish.  He is fun and nice.  We’ve overlooked an obvious choice in our midst for far too long.  Kirk Dodge has done more good work in his six years at CJH than many teachers do in an entire career.  He is a man who makes a difference.  What other reasons do you need?  He’s a legend.  Goes out of his way to acknowledge students in a positive way (students who might not get acknowledged). Thank you Mr. Dodge.  Kirk is an amazing teacher.  I appreciate the relationships that he has developed with the students with special needs students.

His love, not only for his students, but for his entire class is constant.  Travis is an absolute gift to the kids with which he works.  His incredible enthusiasm and friendly attitude shine every day.  He pushed his kids to the next level.  He makes them do things they may not think they can.  His AMAZING patience.

He really cares about the kids.  For reasons he has been nominated in the past.  Travis works with one of the most challenging of populations at our school.  It is apparent by the way his caseload responds to his instruction and more so by his absence the importance he plays in their daily lives and growth in program.  He offers great support and back up.  He has a positive attitude, encourages students to do their best.  He is ready and available for any job/task that he is asked .  Provides and positive ‘can do’ attitude.  Does a great job working with the kids.  He has to handle some very tough and interesting situations.  Travis is so patient with the students he works with.  He is always positive in his instructions and you can see the kids enjoy working for him.
