On Friday, the Cougar Volleyball Team had their home debut against the Bethel Bulldogs. Varsity lost to Bethel with 3 VERY tight matches….. 15-21, 13-21, and 23-25. This was a hard fought match that could’ve gone either way! The Junior Varsity beat them in 1 of 3 games, 21-5, but fell 11-21 and 8-21. Hannah McGunagle was a monster up at the net. Audra Koke was the leading server leading the cougars to a 10-0 start. Great job CJH! 9/19/08

Last night the 8th grade volleyball fought hard against Spanaway, but fell just short with scores of 19-21, 13-21. Leading Cougars were Julia Loeber and Grace Collins at the serving spot. Savannah Dena led the offense at the net while the entire team played incredible defense. Great game Cougars- take the day off to rest and catch up on homework. No practice today for 8th grade, but see you tomorrow ready to practice for Cedarcrest Friday!
The Varsity volleyball team fought hard but had a loss to Spanaway last night. 9/26/08
On Friday the JV Cougar volleyball team headed to Cedarcrest! The two days off proved to be beneficial for the cougars as they returned with their first win of the season! All 10 team members helped bring home this victory. After winning 21-12 and then losing in a battle 19-21.... it was a team effort to then win 21-16. Audra Koka was again the leading server with 16 total points. Lexi Baldwin came off the bench at a tense moment to serve 3 straight points taking the cougars ahead. Julia Loeber added 9 points. Katie Kamenzind and Hannah McGunagle led the team at the net and on defense. LET'S KEEP IT GOING COUGARS!
The Varsity Volleyball team fell to Cedarcrest after splitting the first two matches 20-22 and 21-16. The third and deciding game went to Cedarcrest 21-14. Marissa Delgado played well all the way around for the Cougars. Jordyn Zumach and Lara Linden both added two kills. This Tuesday Cougar Mountain will be coming to our Cougar Country....Good luck ladies!

Last night BOTH CJH volleyball teams won their matches against Cougar Mountain.
The varsity won their first match of the season in a sudden death 3rd game after winning the first game, but losing the 2nd. Jordyn Zumach had an outstanding game with 9 kills and 6 digs. Julia Templeton led the team with 20 assists and great leadership. Lara Linden was a force at the net for the Cougars.... GREAT WIN LADIES!
The JV cougar volleyball team raised their record to 2-3 after sweeping Cougar Mountain in all 3 games last night! Morgan Cain, Carly Booser, Lexi Baldwin, and Audra Koke all had outstanding games from the serving line. Hannah McGunagle was unstoppable at the net.....solo blocking.... TWICE! This win was a team effort of all 10 players. Let's keep the winning streak alive as we host Frontier at home on Thursday!

The Varsity Cougar Volleyball team lost against Bethel in a decisive 3rd game. Jane Kang took charge with 8 serving aces and 3 blocks. Lara Linden added 4 kills and Allyson Lindstrom added 6 digs. The JV team also played tough but ended up being defeated by Bethel. Julia Loeber, Lexi Baldwin and Audra Koke led from the serving line. Hannah McGunagle had a stuff block and Savannah Dena added a kill at the net. 10/17/08
On Friday, the JV Volleyball team played their best game of the season.....falling just short in 3 great games to the #1 team in the league, Curtis, who remains undefeated. Julia Loeber led the team in defense. Katie Kamenzind added 6 kills at the net. Grace Collins was the leading blocker and Audra Koke was unstoppable from the serving line. Last night the JV Cougar volleyball team upset Spanaway in their house! In 3 tight games... the Cougars fought hard, played through injuries, and returned with another win! Every point was a rally and had to be earned.... as the games came down to 20-20. Julia Loeber and Audra Koke led from the serving line. Carly Booser and Katie Kamenzind attacked on offense at the net. Every player did their part....... be proud to be a cougar!
