On October 27, 2008, Mr. Dodge, CJH Math Department Chair, presented the CJH Math WASL Playbook to the Fife School Board.  Mr. Dodge detailed the work he and his math department (Mrs. Bonham, Mrs. Bradley, Ms. Moser, and Mr. Gause) had done, utilizing the Fife School District emphasis of teachers as designers and leaders, featuring student input, and purposeful design of engaging student work, focusing on concepts and areas of concern for the present group of math students.

This work has resulted in a 19% percent jump in math scores in two years, and beating the state average in 7/8 content strands.

Mr. Dodge, in his comments, thanked the School Board for the leadership and vision that has allowed him and his colleagues to make this work possible.
