Mr. Thomas Blatt, survivor of Sobibor, visits CJH

On November 17, 2006, Mr. Thomas Blatt visited Columbia Junior High School.  Mr. Blatt is a survivor of the Nazi death camp Sobibor in Poland. 

Mr. Blatt is one of only 4 remaining survivors of Sobibor in the world. 

Mr. Blatt has been coming to the Fife School district as an honored guest for nearly 20 years. 

As always, the 8th grade students were a wonderful and respectful audience. 

Thank you Mr. Blatt for your message of tolerance and hope.  We will never forget it or you.
