Program Overview
The Student Assistance Program at CJH is designed to support academic success by reducing barriers to learning specifically around substance abuse via prevention and intervention activities.
Prevention Services
The types of prevention activities include, but are not limited to classroom presentations, awareness activities, prevention clubs, parent education and staff training.
Intervention Services
The types of intervention services involve educational support groups, individual sessions, screenings, referrals and case management.
The Student Assistance Specialist works with students that may be impacted by issues surrounding alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs or students who have family or friends with those same issues. Students can refer themselves or can be referred by the school administrators, counselors,teachers, staff as well as by their families. Click here to find out how to schedule an appoointment.
