Learning Target: What does the internal structure of the Earth look like?

Partner Task

Using the resources in the classroom create a poster representing the Earth’s structure

Your poster should include the follwoing information:

  • Drawing/sketch of the Earth’s layers
  • Description of each layer
  • Composition of each layer
  • Depth of each layer
  • Physical properties of each layer (solid/liquid/semisolid)
  • Describe the type of motion occurring in each layer (also include a label diagram with in your drawing)
  • What percent of mass compared to earth does each layer contain.
  • Due at the end of the period!

    > How would you know if all the papers of a newspaper were from the same page?
    > How could you convince someone the pieces were all from the same page?
    As a team start putting together the newspaper in the envolope.
  • Daily Assignment (Due Monday 4/21)
    Investigate: The changing geography of your community
    > Follow all the directions for the investigate (Pgs. 106 - 109)
       make the following changes to the following questions:  1b-ecological region is 
       actually the climate region, for #2 use yellow paper to glue your continents to, #3
       use green, and #4 use blue.

    ~ After you have followed all 10 steps, gather additional information from the Holt textbook (pgs 152 - 155) to your timeline .
    The additional information should include:
    ~ Eons, Periods, and Epochs
    ~ Important information
    ~ Pictures, color, and decoration that respresents the the timeline
