     Mrs. Bonham was born in New York and raised in Virginia.  She is the daughter of a deceased, retired, Navy Lieutenant Commander.  She graduated from Radford College in Radford, Virginia with a BS in Elementary Education and Library Science.  She got her master’s degree in Elementary Science from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.  In 2005, she got her Math Endorsement 6-12 from St. Martin’s College in Lacey, Washington.

     She taught in Virginia for 12 years, 8 years as a fifth-grade teacher, 2 years as a librarian for Severely and Mentally Handicapped Children and 2 years as a junior high school librarian.  

     She came to Washington in 1994 with her two sons, who are both graduates of the Fife High School .  She was a librarian at Madronna Elementary School in Seatac for a year.  She also taught summer school for the Highline district.  Then she taught for 5 years at Endeavour as a fifth-grade teacher.  While at Endeavour she was responsible for teaching the 5th grade highly capable and the accelerated math class.  In 1999, she went up to SLMS to teach technology, math and science.  She also taught summer school.  She was the math department chairman, knowledge bowl coach  and math Olympiad coach.   In addition, she coached fastpitch and track while at SLMS.  In 2003, she helped open Columbia Junior High where she teaches Math.  She is one of the CUB study center coaches and Math Club advisor.  She also coached track and fastpitch at CJH   She has taught a math credit retrieval class for the high school and CJH, during the summer.
