Earth Science is a matrix of many science disciplines. In this class, activities/investigations will serve as the basis for discovery. Then questions raised will be answered and concepts further anchored with class discussion, lecture notes, video, and individual reading.

Students will develop problem solving skills through the investigation of Earth as a system. During this journey students will gain a fundamental knowledge of geology, oceanography, meteorology, astronomy, ecology, geochemistry and environmental science. This course will reinforce the use of critical thinking, observation, analysis, and communication skills to investigate relationships among the Earth’s hydrosphere, atmosphere, lithosphere and biosphere.
