Living in the Northwest Symposium
May 30, 2008
6-7PM in the CJH Commons

Come out to support and view the amazing science projects completed by CJH science students! You will see PowerPoints, posters, and tri-folds with data and analysis of local problems selected by students.

Sample topics:
• Does the weather influence how many drinks Starbucks sells?
• How does rainfall affect the number of traffic accidents?
• How does pH of water affect salmon viability?

This is the culminating event in a year-long project made possible by a grant from HP and ISTE (the International Society for Technology in Education). Throughout the project, students interacted with their peers to receive feedback on experiment ideas and procedures (See a sample of these discussions (pdf)).  Here is a photo journal (pdf format) of just some things we've done in the project and with the equipment received from the grant.
