Cool Science Links!

Sometimes I run across some cool links to sites that don't neatly fit into a physical science category.  Some of those cool places are listed below.  Have fun!

Science of Cooking:  Really neat!  Has recipes, too.

Snow Crystals:  A cool site with snowflake photos and diagrams, physics...very cool!

Insultingly Stupid Movie Physics:  Discusses the likelihood of the various physics things that happen in blockbuster movies.

Bad Astronomy:  Bad astronomy in movies.  Also very cool!

The Yuckiest Site on the Internet:  Just visit it...tell me if you're not grossed out.

Amusement Park Physics:  The how of the rides you enjoy.

Frogs:  The Exploratorium's site about frogs.

The Science of Hockey:  Explains the "how" of hockey.

Color Matters:  All about color, the psychology of color, facts, biology, etc.  Cool!

Dennis Kunkel Microscopy:  Colored scanning electron microscope pictures.  (I worked with Mr. Kunkel when I lived in Hawaii!)

Neuroscience for Kids:  Activities about the brain and nervous system.

Beyond Einstein: From the Big Bang to Black Holes:  Looks at the structure and evolution of the universe.

Sea and Sky: A look at two great frontiers on earth.  Awesome!

Astroventure:  Look for and design a habitable planet.  An interactive site made by NASA.
