A message from Julie Bartlett, principal

Welcome to Discovery Primary School , home of the youngest students in the Fife School District.  We provide rich educational programs for approximately 500  preschool, kindergarten, and first grade students. It is our mission to provide our students with the academic, social and physical skills required to reach their fullest potential.   Our staff is committed to designing learning experiences that will engage students in their work, while providing an environment where all children can feel safe and happy. We encourage students to do their best and we celebrate their growth.

 

When you come to Discovery Primary you will see a school that welcomes visitors warmly and openly. Parents are frequent participants in our programs and contribute many hours of their time and energy to support teachers and students. We are also fortunate to have strong community support and an active PTA.

 

In addition to the regular classroom instruction, students attend classes in movement, PE, and library. Our special needs program is available for students who need specially designed instruction. Independently operated day care programs are available for families needing those services before and after school hours.
