HELLO  KINDERGARTEN FAMILIES

I am Ms. Shappell and I am very excited to be teaching all day kindergarten this year. 

I have been teaching in the Fife School District for 16 years.  I began teaching in the Developmental Preschool Program.  I have been the Childfind Coordinator for our Preschool and I have taught 1/2 day every day kindergarten.

My educational background includes:  Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education which I received at Pacific Lutheran University and a Masters of Education Degree in Early Childhood Education which I received from Lesley College. 

My passion is teaching young children.  I love helping them learn new things, become more confident in their abilities, and create a love for learning and coming to school.

In my free time I enjoy reading, working in my yard, hanging out with my son Drew and listening to music.
