POSITION: Fife High School
Manufacturing Technology Welding Teacher
Essential Qualifications:
- Career & Technical Education T&I Certification in Manufacturing Technology/Welding V480500; or a CTE Tech Education Certification in Manufacturing Tech./Welding V21-0100.
Essential Job Functions:
- Desired teacher characteristics include: flexibility, creativity, organization, commitment to “effective schools” principles, ability to project enthusiasm and express ideas clearly, good classroom management skills, ability to use a variety of current instructional strategies, and a willingness to model behavior appropriate to the school district and community
- Communication/collaboration skills and desire to work as part of building team
- Knowledge and experience in computer applications are desirable
- Special consideration will be given to an individual who is willing to assume co-curricular responsibilities
- Curriculum alignment to American Welding Society Industry Standards or NCCER Industry Standards & OSPI Manufacturing/Welding Framework
- Ability to communicate and work with students, parents, staff, and community in an effective and positive manner
- Skills USA leadership option available
- This is a union position represented by the Fife Education Association
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:
- Current fingerprints on file with OSPI with results satisfactory to the district
- Sexual Misconduct Disclosure process completed with results satisfactory to the district
