Endeavour's Read and Lead program began its first month of 2009-2010 school year with a BANG! 302 Endeavour students met their goal of reading 400 minutes or more during the month of September. Several students even hit the 1000 minute goal! WOW, way to go! A special congratulation goes to the 2nd grade students in Ms. Willden's class for having 100% participation. Ms. Willden's students earned a pizza party and were awarded the special Read and Lead trophy to keep in their classroom for the month of October!
Endeavour read and Lead program set an all time high! During the month of October, 341 students met their goal of reading at least 400 minutes. 53 students even surpassed the 1,000 minutes! WOW! New this month was the grade level competition for the highest percentages of participants. Congratulations to Ms. Willden's 2nd grade class, Ms. Wood's 3rd grade class, Ms. Sawers 4th grade class and Ms. Storholt's 5th grade class. Each class will receive a trophy they will keep until next month. Also, Ms. Willden's class does it again by having 100% participation earning their students a pizza party from the PTA!
To participate in the month of November, all your student needs to do is read for 20 minutes a day for 20 days! By doing so, they earn the right to attend the November Read and Lead party as well as increase their reading and comprehension skills. Ask your child’s teacher for the details.
The following pictures were taken at a few of the lunchtime Read and Lead parties held on October 6th and November 5th. Way to go students and keep up the great work!
