Cezanne Style Landscapes

with Shading

The fourth graders spent some time looking at the work of the French painter Paul Cezanne.  They focused on his landscapes, especially those that Cezanne painted of trees and Mount St. Victoire.  Then, they created their own landscape.  They kept their initial sketch simple, because they knew that the shading part of the project would be time consuming.  They used colored pencils and the drawings turned out fabulously!
