5th Grade Drawings  

inspired by the Harlem Renaissance

The 5th graders eagerness to finish their clay project was obvious when they worked so quickly that we had a couple of days to do another project!  We were introduced to the history behind the time, the music, the art and the look of Harlem during the 1920's.  The students were challenged to draw with dimension as they sketched our city-scenes.  It was a quick project, but successful!
