Flower Drawing/Paintings

The 2nd graders continued to improve their drawing skills as we created flowers. We learned about the life and painting style of American artist, Georgia O'Keeffe. We sketched our own close-up view of a flower in pencil and then added color and design by tracing the pencil with a water-based marker.  Using only water and a paint-brush, we turned the marker into watercolor and the drawings transformed into paintings.  Beautiful!!!
