Desert Landscapes in the style of Georgia O'Keeffe
by the Artists of the 5th Grade
“All the earth colors of the painter's palette are out there in the many miles of badlands... “ Georgia O'Keeffe Our first project of the year was quite an undertaking for the 5th graders! They impressed me with their Monet paintings last year and I thought that they could handle another challenge. We studied the paintings of Georgia O'Keeffe and then drew our own desert landscapes. Painting from the top down, we blended our skies and then added textured mountains and hills. The ground and the final details were next. Amazing!
