Criss Crossers Jump Rope Team

The Endeavour Criss Crossers Jump Rope Demo Team is now on its fourth year. Last year we had a tremendous turn out for the jump rope program and I’m hoping this year will even be bigger. We are sponsored by the American Heart Association and the Criss Crossers are one of five demonstration teams in the state of Washington. Our goal is to promote and motivate students to have a life long healthy lifestyle. We provide a “kick off” assembly for the schools who are participating for the “Jump Rope for Heart” event. Throughout the school year a select group of jumpers on the Performance Team will have the opportunity to perform and travel around Western Washington.
The first practice for the Performance Team is on September 28th and the Beginning Group starts October 1st . Practices for the Performance Jump Rope Team (Level 2 or above) are held every Monday morning at 8:15-9:10 and after school Wednesday from 3:30-4:30. The Beginning Jump Rope Team (Level 1 or new to the program) will meet Thursday mornings at 8:15- 9:10 or the afternoons from 3:30 -4:30.
Jump ropes are provided during practices but I am requiring all students who participate for the Jump Rope program to each have their own rope(s) to practice at home. All participants in the jump rope program are required to purchase a jump rope demo team t-shirt. Every year the American Heart Association changes the design of the t-shirt so last years’ t-shirt is no longer being used this year. The order form for the t-shirt will be given out on a later date. The students who participate are responsible for their own transportation to and from practices.
The morning practices will only have a limit of 25 students. Once it’s full your child is placed on the afterschool practices. A soon as I receive all the forms back I will send a letter home with your child to let you know your child’s practice time.
The monthly schedule for all clubs and activities are given out to all participants the last week of each month. If you have any interest in volunteering please let me know. Thanks again for letting your child become part of this exciting program.
