SPEED STACK NEWS

Last year the World Sport Stacking Association (WSSA) set a Guinness World Record of having the most participants speed stack in one day.  The record was 222,560 stackers and more than 1,300 schools/organizations were involved.  The WSSA is working on breaking the record again this year.  They are shooting for a quarter of a million stackers.

On November 12, 2009 is the "Stack Up" record day.  I have registered our school to be part of this historic event.  The students who are in my speed stacking club and the students who have PE that same day are all participating.  The guidelines for this event is to commit 30 minutes of stacking per person/stacker.  If any students have their own speed stack cups and aren't able to participate at school that day then they can do it at home.  The students who are planning on stacking at home will need to pick up a Verification Form for their parents to sign. the form just states that their child speed stacked for 30 minutes on November 12th.  If you're interested in finding out more about the event or Speed Stacking go to www.worldsportstackingassociation.org
