Homework

We have math homework Monday through Thursday. On Monday we also send our new spelling list. We expect students to study these words for a few minutes each night. On Friday each student takes home his "Friday Folder". This folder will have all the students' work from the past week. We require that a parent look at the work, sign the folder and return the empty folder to school on Monday morning.

We also require second grade students to participate in "Read and Lead". Each student reads ten minutes every night. Students or parents record the title of the story read and the minutes read each day. At the end of the month students should have 200 minutes accumulated. Return "Read and Lead" log on the last day of the month. Each student participating will go to a Read and Lead party in the library! It's a very fun, very cool way to improve reading!
