Formal Assembly

Mrs. Maulding, Fife High's German Teacher and 1967 graduate of FHS, was the mistress of ceremonies for this year's formal homecoming assembly.  The theme this year is "Capturing a Moment."  The gym glimmered with tinsel, lights and balloons. Once again the leadership class under the direction of Activities Coordinator, Molly Stubrud, did an outstanding job.

The 1966/67 football team received special recognition for its accomplishments in capturing league and state titles.

Pictured here are some of the returning alumni.
The alumni spanned 60 decades.

Musical talent abounds at Fife High this year.  Kai Revius opened the assembly with "God Bless America".  Allison Morgan's rendition of Kelly Clarkson's "A Moment Like This" brought down the house.  The Jazz Choir performed "Bridge Over Trouble Waters" and a duet by Tyler Franklin and Colleen Oakley, pictured here, was met with enthusiastic applause.

Junior Prince and Princess, Tyler Cardin and Clairesse Hart, make their way to the stage.

Sophomore royalty, Cory Campbell and Nicole Ray enjoy the assembly.

Co-Captain and quarterback for the 1966/67 football team, Gordon Osaka, was the featured speaker. Mr. Osaka related how the team was not the biggest or the strongest, but they worked together to produce a winning season.  He resides in Portland, Oregon where he is a judge.

The entire royalty is pictured above.

Jack Thomas, Athlete of the Year and Homecoming King (1967), also gave words of encouragement to the student body.

Coach Ari Roberts returned with his team.  He has a great fondness for Fife and all its traditions.  This was truly a memorable Homecoming Assembly.
