The game started with Fife losing 1-0 at the top of the 2nd, only to have Sammy Faust, lead off the inning with a over the fence HR. Eatonville answered with a run of their own; due to some sloppy defense. Fife hammered out 3 hits and pushed the Titans into 3 errors, to score 4 in the 3rd. Eatonville added 1 more in the 3rd on yet again another error. Alison took over pitching,& Carley put on a fielding clinic at 1st base. Fife managed to tack on another 4 runs during the rest of the game.Highlights included: Sammy Faust 3-4 (HR), Alison Stewart 2-3 2 runs, Kayla Griess 2-4. Despite looking flat in the 1st few innings, The lady trojans showed their true talent in the end. Next game Home against Life Christian Wed 3-28

Mar 28   Game cancelled with Life Christian, Will not be rescheduled

Apr 2 Game cancelled with Seattle Christian, Will not be rescheduled. Next game 4-3 (makeup w/ Steilacoom)

Apr 3  The anticipated matchup at Steilacoom lived up to it's billing. The 2 top teams of the league were scoreless  going in to the 5th inning. The Sentinals scored an earned run in the bottom of the 6th, only to have the Trojans tie it up in the top of 6 on a rbi single by Stewart. In the 7th Steilicoom  led off the inning with a hit & and an error. They pushed home the winning run on a solid single up the middle. The Lady Trojans need to step up their hitting if they want to be successful  against good teams. Highlights included: Ami Gran getting 3 hits amd 1 run scored. Next game at Vashon.

Apr 4 The Lady Trojans rebounded with a 12-0 win at Vashon Island. The Vashon Pirates were completely overmatched from the 1st pitch. The Fife pitchers threw a perfect game, not allowing Vashon a single baserunner.Stewart pitched 3 innings & Kristina Stadleman pitched the last 2, getting 4 of 6 on k's. Highlights included Gran scoring 3 runs and Kayla Greiss scoring 2 runs & 2 rbi. Next game Fri 4/6 at 6-1 Orting. Fife had better come ready to play.

Apr 6 Finally a day for softball, 80 degrees and sunny, Fife was on the road  for the 5th straight game

The Lady Trojans were up against 2a 2007 (now 1A) State participate Orting. Fife came out on top 3-1. Senior Alison Stewart was again in top form as she had 9 k's and 0 earned runs. Game highlights included Fife scoring 2 runs in top  of the 2nd on a hit and stolen base by Karissa Haelle. She was drove in by Littlejohn, who was then hit in by Gran. Orting got their only run in the 3rd off an error on the infield followed by a double. Karrisa started off the 4th with another single & sb followed by an rbi single by Whittlesey. Fife will be on spring break next week. Hopefully we can find an answer to our 3-4-5 hitters slump. Stay tuned, next game 4-16 at home. See Attached PDF File from the Tacoma News Tribune on 4-7

Apr 16 Fife posted a 13-0 league win against Foster in a blustery, cold day after the spring break. The Bulldogs were overmatched from the beginning. Fife scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 1st, then 7 in the 2nd. The Trojans had 12 hits on the day while only giving up 1 hit in the last inning. Karrisa Haelle had another big day at the plate going 3-4 with 2 doubles, Ami Gran went 3-4 including 3 stolen bases, & Carley Littlejohn scored 3 runs. Our pitching was dominating with 9 strikeouts in the 5 innning scored game. Next game at home against Lakes.

Apr 19 Fife wins on a sunny day against Lakes 13-3. The game started out with an auspicious start. Lakes scored 2 runs in the top of the 1st on a couple of fluke plays. Fife came back in bottom of the inning to tie on clutch single by Faust followed by a sac fly by Littlejohn. Faust followed up with an rbi single in the 2nd to score Griess to take the lead. The Trojans never looked back again. In the Bottom of the 3rd the power bats came alive including back to back doubles by Allysa Krueger & Devon. 5 total runs scored that inning. Stewart didn't allow another hit the rest of the game & Fife added 5 more runs in the 5th & 6th innings with 2 triples and a double. This was our best offensive effort this year so far. Hopefully we can keep these hot bats going. Next game is league game at Washington tomorrow.

Apr 20 Another perfect day for a game. The inter-league at the Patriots was a game of frustrations. There was no score going into the top of 4. Fife had left the bases loaded in the 1st & 3rd innings & left 2 runners on in the 2nd only to be scoreless. Stewarts pitching to washington was frustrating as well. She had 6 k's in the 1st 9 batters. Alison gave up her only 2 hits in the 4th inning. Fife finally busted the game open in the 5th scoring 6. with 4 hits and 2 bunts. Kristina Stadelman (jr) picked up 2 rbis in the 6th with a solid double. Washington scored 2 earned runs in the 7th off of Stadelman. Fife had 10 hits with 2 each by Gran,Stewart,Littlejohn, & Stadelman. Next game home against Steilacoom on Mon. Stay Tuned.

Apr 23  The anticipated  rematch with the sentinals lived up to everything both teams expected. Fife wins in the bottom of the 8th by a score of 1-0. Wow what a game !! This game had the feel of a District or state tournament.

Both pitchers had 10 k's and both teams had multiple opportunites to get that ever elusive "2 out hit". Finally in the bottom of the 8th leadoff hitter Ami Gran (Jr) got a 1 out hit, Alison struckout after a great at bat & no. 3 hitter Sammy Faust (Soph) hit a very long deep fly ball to center that the fielder couldn't handle. Result, Gran scores and game over. This was a big win for the Trojans because we had lost to them prior.  This wont be the last time we'll see Steilacoom & it'll be even a bigger game next time. Next up is a league game at Foster on Weds 4-25.

Apr 25   The Trojans won their 7th game in a row against the Foster Bulldogs 11-0.Highlights included 3 hits each by Haelle, Littlejohn & Stewart. Stadleman pitched the last 3 innings and had 8 strikeouts. Next game This friday night at Columbia against Eatonville.

Apr 27   Fife wins 9-0 in a nightgame at Columbia Junior High against Eatonville. Under the lights, playing softball  what better way to spend a friday evening. Fife was leading 1-0 in the 3rd inning when they seemed to make the adjustment on the pitcher and busted out for 6 big runs on consecutive hits by Faust, Littlejohn,Whittlesy,Stadleman.

Alison Stewart pitched another gem allowing only one blooper hit to the 2nd to last batter of the game.

Apr 30   The Lady Trojans went on the road (Puyallup) and put a dominating 20-4 against (1a) Cascade Christian. Fife scored 2 runs in the top of 1 only to answered by 4 runs against our beloved lady trojans. We made 2 errors in the 1st and their #4 hitter crushed a fastball for a homer. This was promptly followed by a triple... result we're losing 2-4.

Karissa Haelle opened the 2nd with a walk only to score by a single by Stadleman, a double by Gran & a triple by Stewart. The Lady Trojans went on to coast to victory. Big offensive days went out to Stadleman 3-5, Langdon (soph) 2-4, Whitlesey 2-4, Faust (soph) 2-4 & Gran(jr) 2-4, next game home vs Washington

May 1  Fife had to win this home game against the Patriots to clinch a share of the league title with steilacoom. Fife came out and showed their focus and desire. The Trojans busted the game open in the 2nd with 5 runs followed up by 6 in the 3rd. Alison Stewart again showed her dominance by pitching a 1 hit shutout. The middle of our lineup is getting in the grove .. our 2-3-4-5 hitters went 7/11 and when that happens it usually means runs. Fife Wins 11-0. They are Co-League Champions for the Season !! Congratulations

May 3   Fife went on the road to play (4a) Bethell. It was one of those games thats makes a coach nervous... bus arrives at fife 1/2 hr late.. very long bus ride in traffic....(there go's our batting practice).. playing a 4a school that's hungry for a win.. It had a recipe for disaster. The Lady Trojans stepped up to the challange and started the game off with 1 run in the top of 1st off an rbi single by Kayle Greiss (Sr) scoring Faust. Bethel Started the 2nd with 2 singles & nobody out and promptly had the coach (me) wondering. Alison struck out the #3 batter on her killer change. Devon (Sr) threw out a runner at 3rd on a steal attempt. Stewart then struck out the #4 batter to end the threat. That was really the only offensive threat the Braves could do the rest of the game. To start the 2nd, OF Catrina Fagundes (Sr) opened with a single only to be driven in by Stewarts double, her 2nd of 4 hits. Devon Whittlesey had the big day hitting 4-4 & 2 doubles. Fife also had 2 hits each by Faust, Littlejohn, Greiss and go on to win big 14-0. Stewart had 8 k's in 5 innings  next game will be a non league game at home with Orting on Tues 5/8 followed up by a district seeding game against Steilacoom, in a much anticipated game.   Stay Tuned It'll only get better!!!!

May 8   Fife had a rematch with the Orting Cardinals. This was a non league rematch of a earlier Nisqually league game, of which Fife won (at Orting 3-1). Fife came out on top again by the score of 6-4. It was a zero -zero  score going into the bottom of 3 , until the  Lady Trojans busted out for 4 runs  followed up by 2 runs in the 5th to make it a 6-4 score. Orting scored a run in the 5th & 6th, due to some sloppy defense on our part ??. in the top of the 6th the cardinals again made it interesting scoring 2 runs. 2 runs weren't enough as the trojans came out on top. Top highlights of the game were Ami hitting 3-4 with 2 rbi, Carley Littlejohn going 2-3 (and again putting up a great defensive game). Devon went 2-4 along with Malloree Langdon (So) going 2-4 with a double and 2 runs.

Lets hope the 12 hits we got today will carryover into 12 (or more) hits tommorow at Steilacoom. This is an important game, for the winner will get a bye in the 1st round of the District playoffs on 5-19.

May 9   Fife lost their district seeding game against Steilacoom yesterday 3-1. It was a tough game start to finish with the Lady Trojans making a late rally only to come up short. Fife will play their last game friday at home against chimicum This will be your last chance to see the seniors play at home. More details from the Tacoma News Tribune 5/10

May 11  After the hard loss just 2 days earlier, Fife rebounded with a big win over 16-1 Chimicum (1A). The score was a whopping 13-0, we had 12 hits and dominated in all parts of the game. All of our seniors played the whole game and contributed accordingly. Catrina Fagundes went 1-3 and scored 2 runs, Kayla Griess hit 1-2 with 2 runs, Carly Littlejohn went 2-2, Alison Stewart had the big day going 4-4 with 2 doubles & a triple. Devon Whittlesey was solid again behind the played and scored a run.

May 15  Fife was able to pickup up last minute game against (4A) District contender Bellermine Prep. We traveled on the road and forgot to bring our game. The Lady Trojans played some sloppy defense and gave up a couple of big homeruns.

We have just 3 days of practice to iron out some weaknesses & play at 10:00 against Klawoha in a loser out game. Lets hope the team is focused and ready to play.

May 19  Fifes season came to a bitter end today. The Trojans lost in a tough battle with Klawoya 2-1. It was a frustrating game due to the fact that we left multiple people on base and couldn't get that critical hit to tie or take the lead. With the score at 0-0 in the 3rd, Kristina Stadleman scored on an rbi single by Stewart. Klawoya answered in the 4th with 2 singles followed by a big double by their #5 hiiter. She was subsequentially throw out at 3rd trying to stretch it into a triple. That was the only scoring in the game. In the bottom of the 4th & the bottom of the 6th we left the bases loaded only to come away scoreless. It was a very tough loss, but it was one of those "classic games" that we'll never forget. The Lady Trojans had an excellent season finishing 17-4. With the returning core, we should be strong force again next year. More details from the Fife Free Press
