Fife High School Enrollment

and Transfer Proceedures

 

Greetings and welcome to Fife High School . To ensure correct academic placement, health, and welfare of your student, we are seeking your assistance in helping them through the necessary steps to enroll. Please note; all the procedures must be completed prior to enrollment at Fife High School . Parents and guardians are responsible to provide all the required registration information prior to their student's admission. False statements made on any enrollment forms may result in your student being withdrawn form Fife High School . Required registration records from other schools may be hand carried or faxed to Fife High School , attention: Juliana Reed @ 253-517-1111.

 

All incoming students need to have the following documents to enroll :

•  Immunization records

•  unofficial transcript

•  withdrawal form (only if entering mid-year)

SPECIAL EDUCATION STUDENTS, NON-RESIDENT STUDENTS, AND SUSPENDED/EXPELLED STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE A PRE -REGISTRATION PROCEDURE AS LISTED BELOW:

 

Special Education students

Students receiving Special Education services in their previous district need to:

•  provide FHS with a copy of their latest IEP

•  have records release form signed by parent/guardian

Failure to provide this information may delay your student's enrollment.

 

Out of district students

Obtain a "Release of Attendance" from your resident district. Also include a current report card or transcript, your student's attendance profile, discipline file, and a "Non-Resident Student Transfer Request" (from the Fife School District office). All questions should be directed to Jeff Short, Deputy Superintendent, or Janci Basham @ 253-517-1000 . Registration procedures will begin only after notification of acceptance from the Fife School District office has been received by the registrar. * Fife High School does not accept ANY out of district Special Education or Foreign Exchange students.

 

Suspended/Expelled students

Need to complete out of district paperwork (and Special Ed forms if necessary), as well as FHS Discipline Disclosure Statement. As a general rule, students who are currently expelled or long term suspended from another school district must complete the conditions of their suspension or expulsion prior to being admitted to the Fife School District .

 

 

 

* Enrollment paperwork must be done on original forms. We do not email forms or register on-line.

 

School Records and Transcripts

Copies of high school transcripts can be obtained by contacting Juliana Reed @253-517-1100. Please leave your name, year last attended, the reason for your request, and where you want it sent to. There is no charge for this service. Student's educational files are no longer kept after the student turns 21 years of age. However, transcripts of grades are permanently stored for 100 years.

 

Health records are stored at the high school for one year after graduation, then sent to the Fife School District Office to be kept for 8 years. (new law) At this time, we only have health records from the class of 2003 to the present.
