Seniors! Planning on a career in education?  Our very own Fife Education Association has established a $1000 dollar scholarship to help you reach your goal. Applications are available in the counseling center. The deadline to submit is May 22nd.

There’s free coffee from Starbucks,

And poetry readings

Plus lots of good entertainment

And excellent feedings.

 

This magical happening

Takes place somewhere near;

It’s in the cafeteria,

So please hurry there.

 

 If you missed the opening of Once Upon a Mattress last weekend, you still have a chance to catch the fun this weekend.  Showtime is Friday at 7:00, Saturday at 7:00 and Sunday at 2:00 at the Columbia Junior High’s performing arts facility!  The cost is only $5!

 

Juniors--Spring Festival College and Job Fair at Highline Community College is this Friday! Permission slip deadline has been extended to Thursday by noon. No late permission slips will be accepted! We will leave at 8:30 and return by 1 p.m. Meet at the bus turn around.

 

Attention all seniors.  Please get your State Participant and Honors & Awards sheets into Mrs. Reed in the counseling center ASAP.  We want everyone to know how awesome you are!  If you need a new form, we’ll make more!

 

Boys Soccer Players!  Please turn in all your uniforms to the coaches.  Try and focus on this one, boys.

 

It’s been a great golf season and it’s only getting better.  After the boys finished in League, they won the League tournament on Monday.  Pat Oakley was first, followed by Keynan Fanslow and Kevin Cox.  Yesterday we had the District tournament.  Jessica Christoe qualified for State by finishing fourth at Districts.  Keynan Fanslow, Pat Oakley and Kevin Cox all qualified for State and will play in the State tournament in Bellingham next week.  Congratulations!

 

Junior Girls! Are you interested in a scholarship opportunity next year? If you are a junior girl with a 3.2 GPA or higher then you could be the 2009 FHS Daffodil Princess. There will be an informational meeting Tuesday, May 20 at 2:35 pm in Room 427. If you have any questions see Ms. Hilzendeger or Mrs. Thomas.

 

FOUND:  Glove in the student parking lot.  It was near a Saturn car, License #700YEN.  Please claim in the office.

 

Transportation has 3 cell phones that were left on buses.  If any students are looking for their phone please go to the Transportation Department and claim.

Mr. Fife 2008 DVD's are on sale now for $5 from the bookkeeper.  Get yours today while supplies last.

 

The Fife/Milton Rotary Club would like to congratulate the following students as the 2008 scholarship recipients: Travis Hunt, Courtney Tanabe, and Brittany Vigereaux.

 

AP English Comp:  All students taking the test Wednesday morning in the Board Room at the Administration Building at 7:40 a.m. be sure to bring a pencil and a pen.  You should be done during third period.

Boys’ soccer will have their end-of-the-year party tonight at 6:00 in the cafeteria.  Seniors bring refreshments; juniors bring side dishes; sophomores bring main dish; freshman bring desserts.  Everyone bring your uniform.

 

Varsity Fastpitch beat Cedar Park of Bothell last night 10-0.  Highlights included: Kirsten Schumacher hit 3-4 with a double,  Sammy Faust hit 3-4 with a triple, Ami Gran went 2-4 with a triple and Kristina Stadelman had 13 strikeouts.  Fife plays in the district tournament Saturday, 12:00, at Sprinker Recreation Center.  Congratulations on a great season and good luck!
