Course
Description
Accounting
is planning, recording, analyzing, and interpreting financial
information. In this class you will learn how to work with
financial data in order to make it meaningful to businesses
and employers. Accounting is not an easy subject. It will
involve learning new information and then building on it throughout
the semester. Homework should be expected, but time will be
given in class to get started or possibly finish. |
Expectations
You
should arrive on time with your materials ready everyday.
All calculations can be done by hand, but for time reasons,
a calculator is recommended. As long as you can perform basic
calculations, any calculator will work. No extensions or exceptions
will be made for students that believe they need a calculator
but do not bring one.
Homework
will be turned in on time. Late work will be accepted, but
for everyday it is late it will lose 10%. For example, if
work were turned in a day late the highest possible score
that one could receive would be 90%, two days 80%, etc. This
will encourage everyone to complete his or her homework on
time and to be on track with the class schedule. Homework
will be collected daily, after questions are answered. If
it is not ready to be collected at that time it is considered
late.
