Nice job Film Festival participants. Successful show. There were some good films and a great crowd. Proud of all the work you put in. Some of you went above and beyond and that is what makes our program so good. Special thanks to the students who helped out at the show: Kevin M., Cameron H., Malorie L., Haylee O., Alex D. Couldn't have done the show without you. *My apologies for videos that didn't run due to time constaints or technical problems...we were limited on time and things were very chaotic before show time which didn't allow us to get all the videos shown during the preview time. *Check out cool link to online guide to world's most famous film festival, the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. Let's look into information to possibly plan a trip to this festival next year. Just an idea, but it all starts with an idea. How cool would that be. Need to start planning now if we are going to make it happen. Go Jordan and anyone else wanting to do this. This is one of the places bigtime filmakers are discovered. *Nikko is going to come by to finish making the DVD for us sometime this week. Big thank you to Nikko and Kyle O. for helping us with the film festival. Would not have pulled it together without their help. *Last weeks Bell Assignments Due Today...will collect notebooks at front table in stack as always and last weeks bell assignments will be graded. Continue bell assignments this week. *Mr. Fife - Need full show DVD (Deadline Thursday!), TTV Highlight Segment w/ voiceover by Ryan Carter or Kirsten, and Senior Video Clips to be exported to server upon approval of Mr. Shula. To be produced by...Nathanial and Austin. This will be a TTV story for the Final TTV also. (Supervised and directed by Kirsten.) *SPORTS FILMERS - COULD BE OUR LAST WEEK TO GET SHOTS FOR SOME SPORTS...HAVE TO GET PEOPLE OUT THERE. THOSE OF YOU NOT TOO INVOLVED IN FILM FESTIVAL NEED TO STEP UP. YOUR GRADE WILL DEPEND ON IT. *Learning new cameras: Will be getting into groups and going through cameras...page by page with manuals. See Tech Link of our website. Final Cut Review Questions We are going to do this right. Cameras are very expensive and I want them to last a long time. *If you are not being asked to something specific for me, I would like you to look at this Photoshop Tutorial. There are several projects such as South Park Characters, Blending Projects, etc. you can work through to enhance your Photoshop skills. Photoshop is an integral tool in our video production projects so it is worth the time. Save your practice projects in an appropriately named folder on your computer and I will check them tomorrow and/or Wednesday to give you credit. *Let's be sure all of festival pieces are backed up to server and labeled properly. I'll go over this with you. *Take a look at: Senior Video 08 Planning Page *Test on Final Cut Tomorrow. Individuals will work independently on test. No partners. 1. Prepare for the - *Final Cut Pro Test - Going to have several tests on Final Cut Pro. Expecting everyone to know some basic information. First test you will need to know the following - see link. 2.
