Good Morning Class!  Hope you had a fantastic weekend.

Bell Assignment:  Short and sweet, just to be sure you are checking your agenda as instructed.  Please go get a wipe and clean off your work area, make sure you hand sanitized and be ready to listen to instructions for the day.  This first 10 minutes if very important to be sure everyone is doing what needs to be done. 

To Do Today:

*Go over TTV Planning Sheet...confirm with everyone what they are doing.  Anything related to TTV must be done by tomorrow.  I need to approve whatever you have done to be sure it is ready to air.  So please give me your complete attention while I am going over everything.

*Credits filmed today at 8:30am. Meeting at stairs in front of FHS office. Everyone has to be there or you are not included in the credits.  I will designate someone to film this.  .

*Don't let me forget...Recap and Recog ...did we get the Band Trip Footage in & figure out what we will be saying?  Let's pull together other people to help you on this.

*Be sure I review tape and equipment checkout issues.

*Don't make me your first go to person when you have a problem.  It may hold you up on production.  Help one another and come to me after you tried asking at least three other people.  Just too hard for me to get to everyone at once

*Don't forget to sign out when you leave to film and remember you are representing TTV and need to be completley on task.

*Notebooks won't be ready to return until tomorrow.  Sorry.

*REMEMBER...I AM GRADING YOU ON YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS EACH DAY IN CLASS.  UTILIZE TIME WISELY.

COUPLE DIFFERENT THINGS I NEED TO HAVE YOU DO TODAY.  I'LL DIRECT YOU AT BEGINNING OF CLASS.

*Include a Jumpback wet it's widescreen to 2:35-1.

*Jumpback must have a Valentine Theme.

*Greenscreened Image of You...this image must have motion that goes to the music.

*Title  must move with the music and be a color that works with the background

Bell Assignment:  Let's get our focus on the planning sheet and go through it together. 

My older two boys high school band, Rogers High School, placed 4th overall in the School of Rock Contest put on by KZOK.  They did a student arranged version of Back In Black.  They won $500.  The winning band was Shorecrest with their renditition of 'Long Way To The Top'.   You can listen to all their music at the following site.  Not sure if it blocked from here, but if so, check it out at home.  Top 4 Bands are pretty awesome!

Pick Me Up video we did for Mary Fore is online from our Video and Podcasts link.  Thanks for all who helped with this very special project.

ANCHORS NEED TO BE REDONE!!!  DECISION MADE TO USE TREVOR AND TORY AND FILMING THEM AT NORDSTRUMS TOMORROW.  NEED A FILM CREW OF THREE AND WRITERS TODAY TO WRITE FOR EVERY SCENE.  THIS REQUIRES MY MOST EXPERIENCED PEOPLE BECAUSE WITHOUT ANCHORS TTV IS A NO GO!!!  I WILL PICK THESE PEOPLE AND MEET DURING CLASS TODAY!!!  LIKE CREW TO GO TO NORDSTRUMS AFTER SCHOOL TO SCOUT OUT THEIR SHOTS AHEAD OF TIME.

WANT THE PREVIOUS ANCHORS TO PUT THE BEST SEGMENTS INTO BLOOPERS. SINA AND/OR SOMEONE SHE CHOOSES WILL COORDINATE BLOOPERS.  YOU MUST DO A QUICKTIME EXPORT OF YOUR BLOOPER SHOTS.

Thank you for those of you stepping up to pull all of this together.  So many things to do and need all of you to put forth the time and effort necessary to get things done...and done well.  Want to submit this edition to the National Broadcasting Awards.  Has to be a strong effort.

Wednesday

Need to do the following:

*Get gear together for anchors and have me go over some things with them before they leave.

*Export any Bloopers to appropriate folder. 

*Final Touches on stories prior to exporting them

*I'll assign diffent poeple for all the things we need to wrap up.

*Filming Assignments for Friday Nights B-Ball Game

Other to do list items...as I go through this stuff I will be asking different people to do these things:

*Begin master editing of final TTV.

*Ryan Title Bar...have the video file on shared folder of server.

*Pink Panther Transitions...discussed with Cameran...some people can help him with this.

*Bloopers

*DVD Labels for Valentine's TTV...done on Computer 13 because we have color printer there.

*Print Photo for Sales.  Print 8 x 10.  She needs it today.  On my little Sony Camera

*Credits...probably can't film this till tomorrow because people won't be here.

*Check completed stories for sound, audio, widescreen issues, etc.

*Music for every graphical transition, for anchors, etc.

  Continue working on your valentine project today.

OK...let's look to see if everything is done and be sure it is exported to where it needs to be...we'll go through the website:

Edit Anchor Bloopers together...McGhee you be in charge of this.  See me for the tapes.

Recap...Recap group needs to coordinate how and when the assembly footage will be added to the existing footage.  Get this all set up so I don't need to worry about how this will be done.  It needs to be exported before the begninning of 4th period.

Kirsten is doing the Master Editing.  Already got a good start on it last night.

Brian and Conner...talked to conner about the title bars I want made using the Ryan clip...I want three different title bar sequences:  one that says Travis  Tori for anchors, one that say Ryann Carter for Sports, and one that say 'Fife Loves You Mary!.

Shooting Credits at 8:15am...need to contact a couple video kids from 2nd period who helped to be at credits.

1/2 Day

Come cheer on my basketball team tonight and then go cheer on the wrestling team!!

TTV IS A GO! The DVD is being jumpy on playback...hopefully it will play OK when it is broadcast schoolwide.  Kind of nervous

Thank you to those of you who put in the time and effort to make is happen.   I was here until 11pm last night and so was Nikko. 

 

TO DO WHILE WATCHING TTV

*Take out full piece of paper and place three line heading at top.  Label it as the 'February TTV Evaluation and Grading Sheet'.  Answer the following:

 

*Question 1:  Favorite part of TTV

*Question 2:  List three things done very well.

*Question 3:  List three things to improve upon.

*Question 4:  In detail explain your contributions to this TTV. 

*Question 5:  What outside of class time did you put into this TTV .

*Question 6:  If you were to be given a grade based on your efforts, attendance, and contributions to Trojan TV and other videos we have been doing, what would you give yourself.  (A, B, C, D...?)

Turn in to me at end of period today.  I will go over these sheets and give you a total of 100 points based on your contributions to this Trojan TV and my personal evaluation of the level of effort you have put forth in class over the past two weeks.  I will base this on what you specifically tell me you have done and how I feel you use your time.   

I will also be grading your notebooks over break and looking for the following.  Be sure I have your notebook turned in to grade.

1. Listing of Audio Formats from 1/30 Agenda

2. Answer to bell questions on 1/31...What is beautiful.

3.  Looking for your completion of the FCP test given on 2/1

4.  How to make a documentary bell assignment on 2/4

5.  Bell Assign 2/5 Definitions

6.  Bell Assign 2/6 Definitions

7.  Write about a Broadcasting Career 2/7 Bell Assign
