Hands...

        Students started off the semester learning about Realism.  Value was the focus of class discussions and journals.  Highlights, shading, dimension, foreshortening, space, and proportion all came together in the first project...drawing hands.  Some students chose to work from a digital picture, while others simply looked at their own hand.  Final drawings were graded based on rubrics which listed all requirements.  When the projects were finished, students participated in a final critique.  Students presented their own drawings and received feedback from classmates.  Student drawings are displayed in the main office, school library, and at the district office.
