Dear students and families,

Welcome to our seventh school year at Alice V. Hedden Elementary School where all our students are -

Ready to Learn,

Responsible for Their Choices and

Respectful of Everyone.

Each morning I have the privilege of greeting your children as they enter our doors to begin another day of learning in their classrooms. A "student of the day" joins me in my office each morning as the 9:15 (10 minutes earlier than last year!) opening bell rings. We review our motto, the character trait of the month, and quote of the day. The student of the day leads our school in the pledge.

Our staff of extraordinary teachers, paraprofessionals and office personnel comes prepared to give their best to our students, their families and their school. All of our staff members take advantage of ongoing training to update and improve their skills to provide the best education for your children.

We are proud to be part of Hedden Elementary, the Fife School District and the wonderful communities from which we draw our customers - you and your children. We are grateful to have such supportive and involved parents. Please join us as we move from "Good to Great"! It's a real team effort!
