Line Designs of the 2nd Graders
This was our first project. It was a challenge, but the students excelled! This first drawing examines the art element of Line and the principle of Pattern. The 2nd graders did an outstanding job. We began by learning our new "Line" vocabulary words and then we played a game called "Find a Line or Be a Line." By this time we were more than ready to pick up a marker and draw. Each initial line was as different as the artist who drew it. The remainder of the space was filled with more lines and patterns. Wow!!!
Jonay Many of the students also completed an extension assignment by adding color to their line design!
