Cezanne Style Landscapes from the 5th graders
The 5th graders began their semester in Art by studying the works of Paul Cezanne. They focused their learning on his many landscapes and more specifically, the trees in his paintings. Then, they worked on simplifying their own tree drawings by paying close attention to the direction of the lines that they used to draw them. They found that this scribbley sketching style was similar to the random looking brush strokes of Paul Cezanne. Their own masterpieces were created with a combination of pencil and a mysterious watercolor crayon. Amazing!
