The African Drummers, Dancers and Storyteller

plus Endeavour's Kids for Kenya Club

The Hedden Drum Ensemble was so lucky!!!  Mrs. Merdian and Endeavour's Kids for Kenya Club shared a fantastic experiece with us.  The Gansango Dance Company came to Hedden to run a African Dance Workshop for the two clubs on Tuesday, March 25th. This was made possible by a grant they wrote through The Allied Arts Foundation.  Etienne Cakpo from Benin taught us African dance moves and Siya Manyakanyaka from South Africa drummed for him. They also had a guest storyteller share his talents with us.  What a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn about African culture!
