Hedden Penny Drive

Students at Hedden Elementary recently started a penny drive to help support the Humane Society.  Samantha (above) had done a poster about animals with a border of pennies for her Reflections project.  This gave Mrs. Ayers the idea that maybe we could help homeless pets by collecting pennies to donate to the Humane Society.  This has been a grassroots effort, and more and more Hedden students are participating and showing their love and compassion for animals. They have raised $244 so far, filling the bottle 3 times! You can bring your pennies to the library to donate!
