On January 16th, two teachers from every grade level in our school participated in a math workshop lead by well-known math consultant, Kim Sutton. 

The workshop was originally scheduled for all FSD elementary teachers as one of their Learning Improvement Days.  When this day was turned into a snow make up day, not everyone could participate in the training. On February 2nd, those teachers who were able to participate in the math training provided an hour of inservice to the rest of the staff.  They shared their favorite activities as staff rotated through a series of stations.  Teachers left this mini-training with lots of new ideas to help students learn difficult math concepts.
