"Jogging Across America"

 

 

This jogging program is a fun way for students to exercise their hearts, lungs, muscles and brains.  The goal of our school is to jog from Hedden (Edgewood, WA) to Disneyworld (Orlando, FL) and back.  Each classroom spends time jogging laps during P.E. class.   The total laps for each class period is then converted into miles.  The miles for all classes during the week are then added together.  A large map painted on the gym wall shows our progress with a dotted line.  The students also learn interesting facts about the cities and places we visit on our "Jog Across America."
