The program is designed to work as follows:

2nd Grade: Independent reading at home, minimum of 200 minutes a month, and reading should be aloud to an adult or an older child. Reading time is written down on the Read & Lead timesheet and turned in at the end of the month to their teacher. The time sheet MUST be signed by a parent.

3rd - 5th Grades: Independent reading at home, minimum of 400 minutes a month. Reading time is written down on the

Read & Lead timesheet and turned in at the end of each month to their teacher. The time sheet MUST be signed by a parent.

The first timesheet will be sent home with all students and subsequent sheets are available in the library, classrooms,

or click here for an electronic version of the form. The electronic version can either be filled out by using Microsoft Word, or can be printed and filled out by hand.  You can also use a plain piece of paper, as long as it is documented and signed.

The students participating will be awarded monthly, mid-year and year-end.
