About Mrs. Nelson

My name is Tawnya Nelson. This is my 14th year teaching, twelfth in the Fife School District. I earned my teaching degree at Pacific Lutheran University, and I also have a Master's Degree from Lesley College.

I always knew I wanted to be teacher since I was a little girl. I was inspired by my elementary teachers and hope to have the same kind of influence on my students. My goal as a teacher is to create a love of learning for all my students.

I have been married for 9 years to Kirk Nelson, a graduate of the Fife School District. I have a six year old son named Kaden and a 17 year old step-daughter named Erika. We enjoy the outdoors snow skiing and boating. My family and career are the most important parts of my life.
