April 26, 2006 Update
The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
He will quiet you with his love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.
Zephaniah 3:17
We left our local hospital in Puyallup around noon today to travel to the University of Washington Medical Center in hopes of answers and a cure for the current setback I am facing. The doctors and nurses in Puyallup have been exceptional and kind, but my doctor feels we need the resources and skills of the best cancer and GI doctors around, so to the University we go.

We are blessed that the trip to Seattle is only 30 to 40 minutes from our home. It makes it easier for us so we don't feel too much distance from our family and friends. I am looking forward to being here because I am very hopeful and confident in the doctors here. During my previous transplants they have handled my care with perfection. I am here today in large part to their knowledge and skills. I pray the Lord will continue to guide them in my treatments.
Once we arrived they wasted no time taking x-rays and other tests. However, tomorrow morning the real work up will begin. I will be seeing GVH Specialists, GI Tract Specialists, and Infectious Disease Specialists. I am confident it will be a busy day. I pray for the endurance to be strong throughout all the tests. I will do whatever it takes to get to the bottom of this.

I am so blessed to have the love and support of the most important person in my life, my wife Michelle. Without her I could never get through this. She is a rock for me. Like the caption below the photos says, ‘Together, with the Lord's help, we will get through this.'
Thank you to all of you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. We feel the Lord's comfort and peace through all your prayers.
