Two months and nine days since my transplant. Recovery continues to go
slowly. I kind of over did it in my yard about two weeks ago. I spent over
a week taking naps and going to bed early. My energy went into the tank.
The past few days have been better. My strength is returning and I don't
need to sleep as much. I learned my lesson and will be careful not to push
too hard or I know I will pay.

I cherish the joy of recovering from cancer and being a survivor of the
disease. I do have powerful fears of the cancer returning. I continually
pray for the Lord to calm my fears and allow me to focus on the things I can
control. I can control how I take care of myself. I can control the time I
spend with my family and friends. I can control how I treat people. So I
try and put my focus on things I can control...not the things I can't.

Enjoyed some wonderful visits a couple weeks ago. My long time friend Steve
Smith was in town from New Mexico and my college friend and roommate Dave
Becker was here from South Dakota. I am so thankful for the friendships I
have. The Lord has placed some wonderful people in my life.

Recovery Information:

Current Weight: 167 lbs. Dropped weight during my recent battle with fatigue.
Energy Level on Scale of 1 to 10: 6, As mentioned earlier, I can't push it
too hard or my energy really suffers.

Blood Counts most recent check...April 17th:
 Hematocrit   4/7(34.5%)  Today(39.1%)  Normal(34-55%)
 Platelets  4/7(92,000)  Today(104,000)  Normal(150,000)

It's great to see my blood counts almost completely normal. Hopefully, in a
couple months my energy level will be back to normal and I'll be able to do
all the things I did before.

Thanks again for all of you who continue to pray and support me and my family.
