Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name or our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:20

dr and nurse Memorial day for me began with an early visit to the clinic for additional blood chemistries and additional follow up on my irritated stomach. My chemistries showed my sodium levels still remain low, so I have been given salt tablets to take four times a day to help maintain proper sodium levels. My Magnesium was down also, so pharmacy sent me home with a 100mL infusion bag of Mg solution, which I infused via my portable home pump. Nice to be able to do the infusion at home versus the clinic. I have increased the frequency of dosage of my anti-nausea/vomiting drug Ativan, which seems to be helping calm the stomach. However, I will most likely see a GI specialist to examine my stomach sometime this week. Please be praying for this. Good signs regarding my stomach are that I haven't had any more diarrhea and I haven't vomited. In addition, I am eating very well, which is a major positive. Besides my stomach, my main battle lately continues to be fatigue. I worked out for a short while in the apartment gym, but my energy level forces me to take it pretty easy. It is absolutely amazing how tired a person can feel.

Family

Though yesterday didn't work out to be with my family, Michelle and the boys came up today. I can't even begin to describe how wonderful it was to be together. I miss them and love them so much. Our time together was such a blessing. I only wish the time could have been longer. Having had the chance to be together today was really what I needed. Thank you Lord for giving us this time together-what a gift. Michelle and the older two boys had to head back a little early because CJ had basketball practice, but Tanner stayed behind for a few extra hours and we watched a movie together, went on the roof to see the city, and spent time just being together.

Gary and Mariners

Later in the evening our good friend Gary came by and picked up Tanner to take him along with our other boys, his daughter and her friend, and another neighbor friend to the Mariner's Game. It was so nice of Gary to take all those kids to the ballgame. Thanks Gary-you're awesome. I can't thank you enough for what you and your family does to support our family. We are so grateful for all your kindness and friendship.

In closing, I just want to say thank you again to the Lord for this day and the chance to be with my family. I also submit requests for prayer on this upcoming week. In addition to potential GI testing for my stomach, I will have an important bone marrow test on Wednesday to check the progress of my transplant so far. The doctor's will discuss these results with me on Thursday. Please keep these things in your prayers.
