Today we say a fond farewell to a beloved member of our Fife Family, CJH teacher and FHS coach, Mr. Cooper.
Please read the message below sent out this morning by Assistant Superintendent, Kevin Alfano, to our district staff:

Good morning Fife School District colleagues,

I have some sad news to share this morning. As some of you may have already heard, Mr. CJ Cooper, who taught and coached in Fife for nearly 30 years at SLMS, CJH, and FHS, passed away over the weekend. At this time we do not know the cause and do not have any information about services. As information becomes available we will share as needed.

The FHS and CJH staffs were informed at staff meetings this morning. Students at both schools were then notified by teachers. A letter will go home with FHS and CJH students this afternoon. We have extra counselors on hand at both schools to support staff and students should they need it.

As is the case in sad times, we pull together and support each other. This is one of those times. Should you need any support today, please see your building counselor or building administrators.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Cooper’s family, as well as with his Fife School District family.
