New Web Portal!

Surprise Lake Middle School has a new web portal!  A web portal is a website you can visit that allows you to access other different websites; it's a gateway to other sites.  At our new portal you can access the school calendar, view school announcements, see your student's class websites, assignments and much, much more!

Your student's teacher may be already be using the web portal and may have already set up a class website for you and your student to visit.  Your student may be participating in class discussions online, saving class work on the class site or doing assignments that you can view after they complete them!

Q:  How do I access the web portal?

A:  The web address is:  https://portal.fifeschools.com

Once you visit this page, click on "Schools" and then "Surprise Lake Middle School".  You will only be able to view the school page of the student you have logged in as but feel free to look around, check out the district calendar!

Q:  I need a username and password!  What do I do?

A:  Use your student's username and password that they use at school to log in with one difference - type in "fsd\" before their username.

For example, if Joe Smith was your student, you would type in "fsd\joesmith" as the username and then use the same password he uses at school.

Q:  When I click on the link to ____ on the site the username and password window pops up again!  Help!

A:  This means that you do not permission to view this page.  Some sites and pages on the SLMS portal are used only by teachers and students have been locked out of them.
