Accelerated Reader Bookmark Information

• AR will be worth 15% of the total Reading grade.
• A monthly grade will be given, full points contingent on a completed card
• Completed card is defined as completely filled out and signed. All books recorded, parent signature for every new book read, all appropriate fields (name, due date, goal, etc.) completed.
• Grade will be based on percentage of goal met with no possibility for extra credit for exceding monthly goal.
• Late cards can be turned in no later than one calendar week after they are due
• Late cards will be worth 75% of the grade
• Students will decide their own goals
• Beginning minimum goal will be 5 points
• Goals may be updated/adjusted during class library time
• Library time will also be used for bookmark “quick checks” with each student to see that they are up to date
• Goals will be increased every month based on the points received from last month, not the last months goal
