The evening of May 20th was a landmark event in our school district. Over 250 district stakeholders came together to hear
Dr. Phillip Schlechty share his views about public education, the need for change, and his thoughts and observations about the
transformation of our district over the last eight years. In attendance were city officials, service club members, parents, educational
leaders and school district staff who all came together to hear how we can continue to improve the work we give to our students.
Below you will find pictures and just a sampling of the comments overheard throughout the evening. Be sure to visit the
Working on the Work Website to read more about our work with the Schlechty Center and our WOW Refrigerator to
view just some of the engaging work we are providing our students.
We'd love to hear your thoughts if you attended! Click here to email them to: Elaine Smith, WOW Coordinator
