Special Education

WELCOME TO SPECIAL EDUCATION
The Fife Public Schools Special Education Department partners with families/caregivers and staff to ensure All Means All - every learner is known, supported, and appropriately challenged. We provide a continuum of services for students ages 3-22, beginning with a referral and a comprehensive evaluation.
For students found eligible, an Individualized Education Program (IEP) outlines specially designed instruction and related services (such as speech-language, occupational and physical therapy, psychological services, and counseling) delivered in the least restrictive environment. Our teams collaborate with general education to build inclusive classrooms, monitor progress, and adjust supports so students can access grade-level standards. We also coordinate Child Find screenings for children not yet enrolled and assist with records and transitions for students transferring to or from Fife Public Schools.
