Elementary Boundary Review

As we look toward the opening of our new Fife Elementary School, we are beginning a school boundary review process.

We are partnering with FLO Analytics, a regional consulting company that specializes in data-driven school boundary review services.  Our dual objective is to provide adequate space at our K-5 schools, while balancing equity in access to educational opportunities. Our intention at this time is to focus only on elementary boundaries; we do not expect this study to impact our secondary school boundaries.

FLO Analytics will be taking the lead in guiding a boundary review committee and developing a community engagement framework, along with assessing enrollment patterns and forecasts. The boundary review process will result in recommendations that will guide the planning and implementation of potential reconfigured elementary attendance areas. FLO Analytics will be working collaboratively with committee members from our community and Fife Public Schools staff. We are committed to ensuring our community is informed throughout the process, and that all voices are heard and recommendations are thorough and transparent.

During the month of August/beginning of September, families throughout the district were surveyed to determine expectations and values across the district to inform the boundary review process.

The Elementary Boundary Review Committee will meet throughout October and November and hope to make a recommendation to the school board in December. Visit the meetings page for agendas, minutes, and presentations from each meeting.
